PHIM (Plant Health Institute Montpellier)
My main research interests encompass the epidemiology and evolution of vector-borne plant viruses. I mainly work on sharka, an aphid-transmitted disease caused by the plum pox virus (PPV), which infects wild and cultivated trees in the genus Prunus (plum, peach, apricot, etc.). Using a combination of experimental and modeling approaches at the interface between disciplines (population biology, statistics, economics), I address questions relating to PPV phylogeography, transmission, ecology, epidemiology and optimal management.
I lead the CAMEPI (Characterization and Modeling of Epidemics) team and the VIROM department within the PHIM research unit.
